The Ancient City or Muang Boran is one of the largest open-air museums in the world featuring replicas of Thailands most historic buildings from different kingdoms such as Lanna Ayutthaya and Rattanakosin. The project was initiated on an idea of the Thai businessman Lek Viriyaphant who is also the initiator of the construction of the Sanctuary of the truth in Pattaya.
