Ielts Map. The map has a clear overall progression and organisation as it is introduced the main features are identified then it clearly compares the first map with the second. Very occasionally there might only be a single map but this is rare.
The two maps below show an island before and after the construction of some tourist facilities. Often one map is in the past map while the other is in the present. You can now study the maps below and look at the suggested structure.

As this is an IELTS writing task 1 question we must write an overview and this is where we talk generally about the main changes that have occurred between the two maps. In IELTS listening you often get a map where you have to listen to someone giving directions and then label that map. The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today. When you write about a map you need to focus on describing where things are in location to each other.
